Pauline Shiller
She was born on April 18, 1918 in Nada to Ludwig and Mary Podesva Scotka. Mrs. Shiller was a kitchen supervisor at Garden Villa Nursing home for 28 years, retiring at the age of 80. She was a member of the KJZT. Survivors include her son, Frank Shiller of Missouri City; daughters, Mary Simpson of Boise, Idaho and Margaret McCoy of Montrose, Colo., brother, Ludwig Scotka of Houston; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Franklin L. Shiller; brother, Edward Scotka; sisters, Annie Korenek, Mary Kubecka, Agnes Kresta, Ludmilla Lutringer, Albina Krajcik and Rosie Lutringer. Visitation will begin Friday, Jan. 18 at 11 a.m. at Triska Funeral Home. A Parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral Mass will be Saturday, Jan. 19 at 10 a.m. at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church with the Rev. Augustine Asante officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Memorial Park under the direction of Triska Funeral Home. Memorial donations in memory of Pauline Shiller may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to St. Philip Catholic Church. |
