Police Blotter City Arrests Alcohol, drugs Gregorio Guerrero Castillo, 38, of 209 N. Liberty was arrested at 11:43 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17 on charges of driving while intoxicated - second, obstruction or retaliation, resisting arrest, search or transport, no insurance and driving while license invalid or revoked. According to the police report, Castillo drove through a yard in the 500 block of East Fourth, hit a utility pole and tried to leave the scene, but was stopped by a resident. He was convicted of DWI in 2001. He remained in custody at presstime. Property Janie Vasquez Aldaco, 45, of 1508 CR 309 was arrested at 10:20 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 17 on a warrant for issuance of a bad check. She was released the same day after paying a $361.62 fine. Monica Ann Ramirez, 25, of 847 Ustynik Rd. in Wharton was arrested at 9:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17 on warrants for issuance of a bad check, speeding and operating a motor vehicle with a fictitious registration. She remained in custody at presstime. Violence, weapons Alexander Gonzales, 38, of 808 Hayden was arrested at 6:32 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15 on a charge of assault bodily injury - family violence. He was held on $3,000 bond as of noon Thursday, Jan. 17. Remijio Guillon Martinez Jr., 26, of 59 Wanda Lane was arrested at 11:28 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17 on a charge of assault bodily injury - family violence. He remained in custody at presstime. Justin Ray Hernandez, 21, of 105 E. Third was arrested at 1:41 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18 on a charge of assault bodily injury - family violence. He remained in custody at presstime. Other Martin Ruperto Fragoso, 23, of 412 E. Jackson was arrested at 10:19 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15 on Wharton County warrants for possessing undersized fish and failure to appear, warrants for no driver's license, no insurance, fictitious motor vehicle registration certificate and operating a motor vehicle with fictitious registration and charges of failure to identify - fugitive from justice, no driver's license and parked on the wrong side of the road. He was transferred to Wharton County Jail and held on $7,000 bond as of noon Thursday, Jan. 17. City Incidents Property Trae Harrison of Katy reported theft of a $800 laptop from Brandt - East Texas, 2902 N. Mechanic, between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16. County Jail Bookings Alcohol, drugs Olin Robinson, 23, of 603 E. 4th in Edna was booked at 6:24 p.m. Monday on a warrant for possession of marijuana. He was held as of noon Thursday, Jan. 17.
