Nancy Divin & Steven Miller wed at Faith Lutheran

MR. AND MRS. STEVEN RAY MILLER NANCY ISABEL DIVIN
Nancy Isabel Divin and Steven Ray Miller were united in marriage at 4 p.m., Jan. 19, 2008 at Faith Lutheran Church in El Campo. Pastor Clyde Grier performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Louis and Nelda Divin of Wallis. Parents of the groom are Clay and Linda Garner of El Campo.

Pews were accented with white tulle bows. Altar arrangements consisted of white cushion poms, orchids, pixie carnations and foliage.

The bride, escorted by her father, wore a two-piece light gold satin corset gown by Bridal Originals. The bodice and cathedral-length train were embroidered with flowers and beading in claret red. Her veil of light gold tulle was trimmed with claret red edging. She carried a cascading bouquet of white alcoto roses, pixie carnations, white dendrobium orchids and reds roses accented with plumosa foliage.

Abby Vela of El Campo, friend of the bride and groom, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Racheal Sanders of El Campo, sister of the groom; and Carla Sayle of Sealy, friend of the bride.

Attendants wore Mori Lee chiffon claret red gowns by Maricina Gardner. The deep- V halter neckline was embellished with a sparkling brooch meeting on an empire drape wrapping around to flowing streamers in the back of the A-line gown. Their bouquets consisted of a single stem white dendrobium orchid with beargrass and ribbon accents.

Karli Miller, groom's daughter, was the flower girl. Brendon Miller, groom's nephew, was the ring bearer.

Gilbert Vela of El Campo, friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were James Sanders, brother-in-law of the groom, and Bill Morris, friend of the groom, both of El Campo.

Ushers were Louis Rosales, friend of the groom; and Chad Divin, brother of the bride.

A reception followed at the American Legion Hall in El Campo. Members of the house party were Rachel Divin, sisterin law of the bride; and Lillian Hancock, friend of the bride.

Rehearsal dinner was held at Casa Hernandez Friday evening.

The bride is a 1998 graduate of Brazos High School and a 2003 graduate of the University of Houston-Victoria. She is a teacher at Brazos Elementary.

The groom is a 1997 graduate of Wharton High School. He is a maintenance purchasing superintendent for T.K. Stanley Inc. in Victoria and volunteer firefighter for El Campo.

After a wedding trip to San Antonio, the couple will reside in El Campo.
