It was a time to pray, a time to sing and a time to remember the work of civil rights activist Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Monday evening at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in El Campo. Viola Ceasar, far right, leads the choir in singing "Tell the Angles." Pictured are (front, lr) Barbara Williams, Naomi Williams, Ceasar and (back) Gwendolyn Smith, Margie Randle, Clara Cunningham and Clara Williams. Seated, the Rev. J.C. Williams claps along to the music. Several leaders of the church and community spoke about King's work. The theme was "Keeping the Dream Alive." The Rev. J. Barron was a special guest speaker for the evening.
