Dorris Mueller Dorris Lorraine Hinsey Mueller, 92, was loved by all. She died peacefully on Jan. 20, 2008. She was a member of a pioneer Texas family and was born on Sept. 1, 1915 in Yorktown to Roy and Ida Kraege Hinsey. A long-time teacher, she graduated from Texas State Teachers College, later Southwest Texas State Teachers College. Her teaching career began in a one-room country school and continued in Cuero and El Campo. She was an avid bridge player and a member of the Yorktown Museum. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alton Mueller Sr.; and a sister, Melba Hinsey Wolpman. She is survived by a sister, Edith Schneider and husband Jack of Lockhart; a daughter, Sharon Kaiser and husband Kenneth of Nordheim; sons, Ken and wife Kay Lin Mueller of Austin and Alton Mueller Jr. of Yorktown. Also, six grandchildren, Kirsten and Danny Crain of Kauai, Hawaii, Marisa and Kent Stromberg of Austin, John and Sandy Kaiser of Austin, Jane Mueller of New York, N.Y., Hudson Mueller of Austin and Maggie Mueller of Austin. Funeral services will be today, Wednesday Jan. 23 at 2 p.m. at the Finch Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Patti Byrne and John Barichivich officiating. Burial will follow in Westside Cemetery. Pallbearers are John Dale Hurst, Kraege Wolpman, Hudson Mueller, Manroy Walpman, John Kaiser and Kent Stromberg. Honorary pallbearers are Jane Mueller and Maggie Mueller.
