      A win put the 'Birds back in the playoff picture. El Campo defeated the Falcons at Foster 65-58 Friday to move to 2-1 in District 24-4A basketball play. Ricebird Head Coach Philip Spenrath said this was a game his team had to win if they are to make the post-season.

      The Lady 'Birds outscored Foster in every quarter to cruise to a 62-29 victory and a 3-2 district record Friday night. El Campo slowly chipped away at the Lady Falcons through the first half until time came to dominate late in the game.
