City Arrests Property

Amber Nicole Moreno, 22, of 607 Mayfield Ave. was arrested at 8:56 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22 on three warrants for issuance of a bad check. She was released the same day on a payment plan for $1,352.88 in fines.

Elizabeth Elaine Gonzalez, 24, of 808 Heights Ave. was arrested at 8:36 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22 on a Victoria County warrant for theft by check, a charge of driving while license invalid or revoked and warrants for excessive noise - loud music, no valid driver's license, expired registration, speeding, failure to yield right-of-way, unrestrained child under age 2 and minor in possession of an alcoholic beverage. She was transferred to Wharton County Jail the next day and held on $1,000 bond.

Desirae Nicole Garza, 18, of 408 Lundy Ave. was arrested at 7 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23 on a warrant for theft between $20 and $500 after allegedly stealing six clothing items worth $313.50 from Hibett Sports, 3604 West Loop. She was transferred to the Wharton County Jail and was released at 12:32 p.m. the same day on $1,500 bond.

Amber Garza, 18, of 701 Ave. K was arrested Friday, Jan. 25 at 7:24 a.m. on a warrant for theft between $20 and $500 while already in the Wharton County Jail.

Violence, weapons

Jay Carmen Rocha, 49, of 2009 N. Wharton in El Campo ws arrested Thursday, Jan. 24 at 10:56 p.m. on a charge of assault bodily injury - family violence. He was transferred to the Wharton County Jail Friday morning.

Public intoxication: 1.

Minor assault reports: El Campo area, 1.

City Incidents Property

Victoria Vasquez reported criminal mischief causing $215 in damage to a car at 100 E. West between 7:15 and 7:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21.

County Incidents Property

Grant Becker reported theft of a 12-gauge Winchester pumpaction shotgun with a black synthetic stock from a vehicle parked at 6061 FM 2765 between 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15 and 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16.

Jonathan Richardson reported theft of a fertilizer boom worth $8,000 and four aluminum boom tips worth $16,000 from a grass farm on FM 1160 in Louise between November and December.
