KCs reveal 'Family' & 'Knight' of the year

Knights of Columbus Council No. 2490 Family of the Year

Knights of Columbus Council No. 2490 held their annual awards event recently.

Family of the Year

Family of the Year honors went to the Andy and Margie Swoboda family. Knight of the Year

Knight of the Year honors went to Ed Wasek and family. In attendance for the presentation were Veronica Wasek, A.J. Hlavaty, Eric Wasek, Ed Wasek, Norma Wasek, Ed Wasek Jr., Samantha Wasek, Alex Wasek, Rene Owen, Ethan Owen and Nancy Wasek.

Lone Star Award

The Knights of Columbus received the Lone Star Award for Excellence. Receiving the award were Kenny Trochta, district deputy; A.J. Hlavaty, grand knight; Larry Zapalac, state deputy; and Billy Fuechec, financial secretary. This award is a reflection of the positive work the council performs for church, community and youth.
