Angelita Godino

Angelita Escobar Godino, 82, of El Campo, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2008.

She was born Sept. 17, 1925 in Baytown to Rosalio and Angelita Rivas Escobar. She was a homemaker and a Catholic.

Survivors include her husband, Romaldo Godino of Victoria; daughters, Sara Gonzalez and husband Gabriel of Houston, Angie Zarate and husband Frank of El Campo and Virginia Garcia and husband Raymond of Victoria; grandchildren, Katie Zarate of Houston, Stephanie Hacker of Victoria, Felicia Gonzalez of Houston, Gabriel Gonzalez Jr. of Honolulu, Elijah Gonzalez of Camp Pendleton, Calif. and Kristi Garcia of Victoria; brothers, Charlie and Timoteo Escobar, both of Tampa, Fla.; and sister, Mary Ramirez of El Campo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Jesse and Raymond Escobar.

Visitation will begin at noon today, Saturday, Feb. 2 at Triska Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited today at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral Mass will be Sunday, Feb. 3 at 2 p.m. at St. Robert's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Memorial Park under the direction of Triska Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers are Abraham Rios, Gilbert Ray Ramirez, Jeremy Ramirez, Arnold Cardenas, Rufus Cardenas, and Romaldo Cardenas.
