Frank Voldan Jr.
Frank John Voldan, Jr., 94, of El Campo, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008.
He was born Oct. 10, 1913 in Ammansville to Frank John Sr. and Rosie Migl Voldan. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for Wendel Construction and South Texas Construction. Mr. Voldan was a member of the KJT and Knights of Columbus Council 2490.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Louise Janca Voldan of El Campo; sons, James Voldan and wife Rosemary of Sugar Land and Johnnie Voldan of Houston; daughter, Bernice Wagner and husband Larry of El Campo; grandsons, Jeff Voldan of Big Bear Lake, Calif., and David Voldan of Arlington; great-granddaughters, Kennedy and Emerson Voldan; brothers, George Voldan of Eagle Lake and Daniel Voldan of Richmond; and sister, Henrietta Koester of El Campo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Frankie and John Voldan; and sisters, Clara Svec and Mary Barcak.
A parish rosary was recited Monday, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m. at Triska Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass was Tuesday, Feb. 5 at 2 p.m. at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church with the Rev. Gary Janak officiating. Interment followed at Holy Cross Memorial Park.
Pallbearers were Laddie Barcak, Eugene Barcak, Frankie Cernoch, Johnny Dornak, David Voldan and Clifton Wenglar.
