A 15-year-old El Campo girl was arrested at 11:10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6 on a charge of possession of less than 2 ounces of marijuana in a drug-free zone. Police allege the girl took the drug with her to El Campo Middle School. She was released the same day to the custody of a relative. Property Sammy Ferrell, 46, of Big Springs was arrested at 1:45 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7 on two local warrants for issuance of a bad check, after police were sent to investigate a disturbance in which Ferrell allegedly was involved. He remained in custody at presstime. Public intoxication: 2. City Incidents Property Margarita Escamilla reported burglary of a habitation at 803 Cotton Ave. between 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4 and 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5. Thieves took a $100 television, $50 DVD player, a rod and reel worth $30 and a pit bull, and did $15 damage to a door lock. County Jail Bookings Property Deliesha Donnett Bennett, 18, of 16103 Able was booked Monday, Feb. 4 on a warrant for theft. She was released later that day on $2,500 bond. Violence, weapons Hector Hernandez, 21, of 336 Agnes was booked on $50,000 bond at 1:40 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6 for sexual assault of a child and capias pro fines. Other Anquantigia Felder, 17, of 204 Eleanor was booked at 8:26 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6 for resisting arrest, criminal trespass and disorderly conduct. She was released at noon the same day on $3,000 bond. Brandy Powell, 23, of 310 August was booked at 11:13 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6 for probation violation. She was released at 11:55 a.m. the same day after serving time. Sedrick L. Richie, 34, of 202 Ripple was booked at 2:46 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6 for parole violation.
