IMUD to fill 3 board slots

The election for three Isaacson Municipal Utility District board members will be held at the district's office, rather than at a location shared with other entities holding elections.

During a special meeting Jan. 30, IMUD directors voted not to have a joint election through the Wharton County elections office, but rather, to have voters cast their ballots at the district's office at 403 N. Liberty.

Terms are up for three members of the five-member board: Board President Floyd Fisher and directors Joe Juroska Jr. and Floyd Shimek.

"Early voting and voting on May 5 - Election Day - will be held here at the IMUD office," said Wanda Evanicky, IMUD general manager.

As well, the regular IMUD board meeting that would've been held tomorrow has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 19.

The IMUD office will be closed Monday, Feb. 18 .
