Joseph Barron

Ruben Barron and Susanna Gutierrez of El Campo announce the birth of their third child, a son named Joseph Lee Barron. The baby was born at 2:23 p.m., Feb. 10, 2008 at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Wharton, weighing 8 pounds, 7 ounces.

The baby is welcomed home by two sisters, Serina Nicole, age 9; and Marissa Ann, age 5.

Maternal grandparents are Juan and Maria Gutierrez of El Campo. Paternal grandparents are Pete and Delia Barron of Rosenberg.

Dylan Hernandez

Ben and Donice Hernandez of Needville announce the birth of their first child, a son named Dylan Isaac Hernandez. The baby was born at 12:06 p.m., Jan. 10, 2008 at Sugar Land Methodist Hospital in Sugar Land, weighing 6 pounds, 8 ounces.

He is welcomed home by brother Kevin, age 8.

Maternal grandparents are Mike and Sandra Wright of Needville. Paternal grandparents are Willie and Josie Hernandez of Danevang.

Great-grandparents are Betty Carroll of Angleton, Willie and Felipa Hernandez of El Campo and Petra Pena of El Campo.

The mother is the former Donice Laurendine.

Layla Holub

Mr. and Mrs. John Holub of El Campo announce the birth of their second child, a daughter named Layla Jaide Holub. The baby was born at 9:56 a.m., Feb. 4, 2008 at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Wharton, weighing 8 pounds, 8 ounces.

She is welcomed home by three sisters: Anastasia Hobbins, age 6; Hali Hobbins, age 4; and Krista Holub, age 1.

Maternal grandparents are Mike and Martha Cagle of Waco. Paternal grandparents are Dennis Holub of El Campo and the late Jane Holub.

Great-grandparents are Zeddie Prinz of Quitman, the late Jimmy Sanders, Loton Cagle of Quitman, the late Joyce Cagle, Antonie Holub of El Campo, the late Jerome Holub, Helen Bowen of El Campo and the late Joe Zaruba.

The mother is the former Tiffany Rose Sharp.

Julian Martinez

Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Martinez Jr. announce the birth of their third child, a son named Julian Martinez. The baby was born at 12:14 p.m., Feb. 7, 2008 at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Wharton, weighing 9 pounds, 4 ounces.

He is welcomed home by two brothers: Pete, age 5; and Anthony, age 3.

Maternal grandparents are Melinda Tovar and Paul Cordova Jr., both of El Campo. Paternal grandfather is Gilbert Martinez Sr. of Alabama.

Great-grandparents are Paula Martinez of El Campo and Mr. and Mrs. Isabel Tovar of Wharton.

The mother is the former Olga Cordova.
