Dem. DA hopefuls to speak

Democratic hopefuls for the Wharton County district attorney's position will be sharing their views Wednesday in a radio roundtable debate.

John C. Maher Jr. and John Roades, both of Wharton, are hoping for the Democratic party's nomination in March.

They will have their chance to share their views during a 45 minute live radio roundtable scheduled for noon Wednesday, Feb. 20, on radio station KULP 1390 AM.

The winner of the Maher- Roades race will face either Josh McCown, the incumbent, or Dawn Allison, his Republican party challenger, in the November General Election.

The district attorney's post is the only opposed local office at the primary level.

Early voting for the March primaries starts Tuesday, Feb. 19 and runs through Friday, Feb. 29.

Election Day will be Tuesday, March 4 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
