Packing Party
Northside students in Laura Motal and Laura Glaze's fourth grade classes participated in a special project. The group gathered personal items, games and paper goods to send to soldiers serving overseas. Motal's class adopted two units, while Glaze's class collected for one unit. All are formerly from Fort Hood and are currently in Iraq. The units were chosen through a Web site: www.anysoldier.com. The Web site offers step-by-step information on how to adopt a unit and what items are needed. Putting together the supplies are (right, front to back ) Kelsy Rodriguez, Kassidy Pietsch, Bailey Popp, Courtney Janke and Orlando Velasquez, and (left, front to back) Chasity Solis, Savannah Knuppel, Monica Mendez and Colton Weaks.
