Police Blotter City Arrests Property Danny Henderson, 48, of 807 E. Calhoun was arrested at 6:16 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19 on three warrants for issuance of a bad check, after police went to investigate a wreck in which he was a driver. He was released the same day after paying $979.73 in fines. Alonzo Louise Mabry, 44, of 612 Lundy Ave. was arrested at 11:06 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19 on charges of burglary of a building and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to police, Mabry allegedly went into a storage building and took a lawn mower that had black transfer ink on its handle and was equipped with the department's VARDA alarm system, which silently alerts police when an item is moved. Mabry was found nearby with the mower and police say he had black ink on his hands and a crack pipe in his shoe. He was transferred to Wharton County Jail the next day and held as of 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21. A 13-year-old El Campo boy was arrested at 12:14 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20 on warrants for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and theft of a firearm worth less than $400. He is the fourth teen arrested in a truck theft that took place Feb. 3. He was transferred to the Fort Bend Juvenile Detention Center the same day. Violence, weapons Artemio Rodriguez Jr., 32, of 604 N. Washington was arrested at 8:11 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19 on warrants for assault - family violence and no insurance and two warrants for possession of drug paraphernalia. He remained in custody at presstime. A 16-year-old El Campo boy was arrested at 6:42 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20 on a charge of assaulting a family member, after allegedly getting into a fight with his sister. He was released the same day to the custody of his counselor. Pete Rodriguez Jr., 54, of El Campo was arrested Tuesday, Feb. 19 after being detained by Colorado County officers on warrants for theft, no insurance, failure to signal intent, expired driver's license, open alcohol container in a motor vehicle, no white light on bicycle and possession of drug paraphernalia and six warrants for public intoxication. He remained in custody at presstime. Public intoxication: 1. County Incidents Property Keith Strnadel reported theft of 30 round bales of hay worth $1,500 from the old railroad right-of-way in Pierce between Feb. 10 and Feb. 14. County Jail Bookings Alcohol, drugs Steven Escamilla, 32, of 803 Cotton was booked Monday, Feb. 18 on warrants for possession of a controlled substance and child endangerment. He was held as of 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Christopher Hackney, 25, of 1704 Lampley was booked at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20 for possession of marijuana (conviction). He was held as of 10:30 a.m. the next day. Violence, weapons K.C. Charmaine Curtis, 18, of RR 2, Box 192 in El Campo was booked Tuesday, Feb. 19 on a warrant for assault-family violence.
