Louise chapter participates in National FFA Week event
Blue Jackets, Bright Futures was the theme that embodied the best about FFA members, from the most recognizable symbol of the organization - the blue corduroy jacket - a symbol of pride and tradition, to the bright future of agriculture and the traditions of leadership and hard work. More than half a million members around the nation participated in National FFA Week activities at the local and state levels. As a part of National FFA Week, Louise FFA members decorated the school halls, distributed an FFA pencil hand out, participated in FFA shirt day and had an FFA lunch hour and a barbecue. "Louise FFA members are the leaders of tomorrow," advisor Amanda Simmons said. " They are well-mannered, perceptive and willing to help others through community service such as Ronald McDonald House donations. They are success-oriented students who are driven to achieve their goals. FFA gives many young people an important push to consider their futures - what kind of people, citizens and professionals they intend to be." Through classroom instruction and handson learning, agricultural education and FFA are making a positive difference for members every day. One of every five Americans is employed in the food, fiber ornatural resources industries of agriculture and FFA members are a part of these industries. National FFA Week is sponsored by Case IH as a special project of the National FFA Foundation. The foundation is the fundraising arm of the National FFA and supports programs by working with sponsors to raise funds for scholarships that are awarded to outstanding members. |
