Program helps with home costs

EDNA - The USDA Rural Development Guaranteed Rural Housing loan program can help applicants move into a home of their own without a down payment.

In many cases most of the closing costs associated with purchasing the house can be financed into the loan. Loans can be made to purchase new or existing homes that meet Agency requirements.

The programs target communities with populations of 10,000 or less and locations not closely associated with urban areas. Never assume an area is not eligible.

For further information regarding USDA Rural Development Programs, contact the Edna Local Office at (361) 782-7151 extension 4, or visit their web site at www. rurdev.usda.gov.
