Police Blotter City Arrests Alcohol, drugs Juan Manuel Manzano Jr., 21, of 906 Second in Louise was arrested at 11:19 p.m. Friday, Feb. 29 on three warrants for no insurance, warrants for open alcohol container in a motor vehicle and failure to report an accident, charges of purchasing/ furnishing alcohol to a minor, driving while license invalid - prior conviction and possession of fireworks and cited for open alcohol container in a motor vehicle. He allegedly was blocking traffic with a 14-and 16-year-old in his car. Police say his vehicle contained alcohol, cigarettes and a marijuana cigarettes. His fourth passenger, Juan Andres Munoz Jr., 18, of 512 N. Wharton was arrested at the same time on charges of possession of marijuana, public intoxication and minor in possession of an alcoholic beverage and cited for open alcohol container in a motor vehicle. Both men were transferred to Wharton County Jail the next day. Manzano was released at 1:55 p.m. the next day on $5,500 bond, while Munoz was released at 11:20 a.m. Saturday on $2,000 bond. James Medellin, 26, of 1114 Ellwood was arrested at 12:38 a.m. Saturday, March 1 on a charge of driving while intoxicated after being stopped for speeding. He was released at 10:45 a.m. the same day on $1,000 bond. Antonio Barcenas, 36, of 302 Higbee was arrested at 1:46 a.m. Sunday, March 2 on a Wharton County warrant for possession of marijuana and a charge of public intoxication. He was held as of 2 p.m. Monday, March 3. Princeton Jamar Foley, 22, of 906 E. Hillje was arrested at 8:33 p.m. Sunday, March 2 on warrants for delivery of a controlled substance in a drug-free zone, no insurance, failure to show a driver's license, failure to stop and failure to appear. He was held on $6,000 bond as of 2 p.m. the next day. Juan Ramon Godoy, 50, of Pharr was arrested at 7:50 a.m. Tuesday, March 4 on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and no driver's license, after being stopped for following too closely. He remained in custody at presstime. Violence, weapons Guadalupe Robles, 43, of 308 Franke was arrested at 3 a.m. Saturday, March 1 on a charge of assault - family violence. He was released at 2:05 p.m. the same day on $5,000 bond. Other Alvin Ray Hardaway, 40, of 210 1/2 Palacios was arrested at 4:40 p.m. Friday, Feb. 29 on charges of no bicycle registration and warrants for failure to appear and open alcohol container in a motor vehicle. He remained in custody at presstime. Brian O'Neal Shorter, 29, of 4650 FM 102 in Eagle Lake was arrested at 6:45 p.m. Friday, Feb. 29 on two warrants for failure to appear, warrants for speeding and failure to report change of address and a charge of no insurance. He was released the same day on $1,175.75 bond. Benjamin Paul Nusser, 30, of 1610 Briar Lane in Wharton arrested at 10:09 p.m. Saturday, March 1 on a warrants for failure to appear from Jackson and Matagorda counties. He was released at 11 a.m. Monday, March 4 on $8,000 bond. Pedro Ramiro Tello, 29, of 302 Higbee was arrested at 1:46 a.m. Sunday, March 2 on warrants for failure to report an accident and no driver's license and a charge of public intoxication. He remained in custody at presstime. Misty LeAnn Grant, 23, of 65 PR 3035 in Edna was arrested at 10:08 p.m. Sunday, March 2 on warrants for failure to appear, no insurance and issuance of a bad check. She remained in custody at presstime. Robert Lee Escamilla, 55, of 8 Serena Dr. was arrested at 8:29 a.m. Monday, March 3 on charges of speeding and expired driver's license, warrants for expired driver's license, no insurance, open alcohol container in a motor vehicle, no seat belt, failure to control speed, theft and issuance of a bad check and a Jackson County warrant for theft by check. He was transferred to county jail the next day. Public intoxication: 5. County Jail Bookings Alcohol, drugs Alex Aranda, 20, of 507 Roth was booked at 4:25 a.m. Sunday, March 2 for minor driving under the influence, minor in possession, no insurance and driving while license invalid. He was released at 10:05 a.m. the same day on $2,000 bond. Property Patricia Manzano, 30, of 508 College was booked Thursday, Feb. 28 on warrants for theft by check, expired motor vehicle inspection and failure to appear. She was released at 4 p.m. the same day on $1,500 bond. Other Scottie Cunningham, 26, of 13016 Julia was booked Thursday, Feb. 28 for probation violation. He was held on $50,000 bond as of 2 p.m. Monday, March 3. Daniel Lee Deleon, 21, of 904 Palacios was booked at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28 for three counts of probation violation. He was held on $150,000 bond as of 2 p.m. Monday, March 3. Marcus Earls, 19, of 1311 Short was booked at 6:50 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28 for bond forfeiture. He was held on $5,000 bond as of 2 p.m. Monday, March 3. Melvin Monroe Brigham, 50, of 1008 Alice was booked at 10:45 a.m. Monday, March 3 on a warrant for failure to register as a sexual offender. He was held as of 2 p.m. the same day. Juan Manuel Manzano Jr., 21, of 906 Second in Louise was booked at 10:45 a.m. Monday, March 3 on warrants for criminal mischief and driving while license invalid.
