Brittany Labay & Eric Bell wed at First Baptist

MR. AND MRS. WADE ERIC BELL JR. BRITTANY KAYE LABAY
Brittany Kaye Labay and Wade "Eric" Bell Jr. were united in marriage at 3 p.m., March 1, 2008 at First Baptist Church. Pastor Richard DuBroc performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Gary and Mindy Labay of El Campo. Parents of the groom are Suzanne Shelton of El Campo and Wade and Dorthy Bell of Blessing.

Pots of blue hydrangeas were placed on the altar.

Music was provided by the audio technician Rocky Chappell and soloist Mindy Labay. Selections included "The Prayer," "The Wedding Song," "How Beautiful," "Canon in D," "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring," "All You Need Is Love," "Unforgettable," "Adonai" "Imagine Me Without You."

The bride, escorted by her father, wore a halter style Aline gown in ivory matte satin by Forever Yours Bridals. The dress featured beaded Alencon lace on the straps, bodice and center opening of the skirt and a periwinkle blue lamore satin shirred waistband. She wore a silver tiara featuring three crystal butterflies with a double tiered ivory veil. She carried a bouquet of blue and purple hydrangeas, dark pink roses, hot pink Asiatic lilies and blue and purple irises.

Maid of honor was Ashley York of El Campo, cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Dory Labay and Rosemary Labay of El Campo, sisters-in-law of the bride; Amanda Probst of Houston, friend of the bride; Katherine Legler of Wharton, cousin of the bride; and Shelly Garcia of El Campo, friend of the bride. Junior bridesmaids were Alexus Labay of El Campo, niece of the bride; and Kerstine Bell of Blessing, sister of the groom.

Attendants wore a two-piece halter style gown by Mori Lee in cornflower blue. The bodice was accented with a beaded tied belt and a ruched skirt. Their bouquets were smaller versions of the bride's bouquet.

Flower girl was Alyssa Cantu, cousin of the bride. Ring bearer was Blake Beisel, cousin of the bride.

Best man was Josh Bolton of Bay City, cousin of the groom. Groomsmen were Brent Labay, Brandon Labay and Brion Labay of El Campo, brothers of the bride; Joey Kacal of El Campo, friend of the groom; and Dwayne Means of El Campo, cousin of the bride and friend of the groom. Junior groomsman was Adam York of El Campo, cousin of the bride.

Ushers were Jay Legler, Sammie Holloway and Chris Yackel.

Witnesses were Gary and Rose Brothers. Program attendants were Amanda York and Krista York.

A reception was held at the American Legion Hall immediately following the ceremony. Grand march leaders were Bruce and Evelyn Labay, uncle and aunt of the bride.

Rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's parents at Uptown Grill.

The bride is a 2000 graduate of El Campo High School. She is a customer service representative at Prosperity Bank. The groom is a 1996 graduate of El Campo High School. He is a special services technician for Wood Group Wireline Service.

The couple will reside in El Campo.
