Nada CDA hosts domino party

Nada Catholic Daughters Court of Our Lady of the Rosary No. 1595 hosted their monthly senior citizen domino party Wednesday, Feb. 27 at St. Mary's Parish Hall.

Domino winners were: 42-high, Bernice Popp; 42-low, Mary Ann Waligura; straight dominos, Joyce Zbranek and Clara Lobpries; chicken foot, Henrietta Patrick and train, Dorothy Faas.

The traveling prize was awarded to Esther Popp.

At mid-afternoon the 39 seniors attending were served refreshments of tuna salad sandwiches, chips, spinach dip, assorted cookies, iced tea and coffee. Serving as hostesses were Helen Noteboom, Rosemary Wied, Irene Seifert, Leona Brzozowski, Janis Phillips, Linda Swoboda and Anita Meismer.

Celebrating birthdays during the month were Rosemary Wied, Bernice Popp, Dorothy Faas, Clara Lobpries and Karol Kallina. Each was given a small token of remembrance of the occasion.

The next party will be held March 26 at St. Mary's Parish Hall in Nada. All senior citizens in the area are invited to attend.
