Fiesta themed couples party held for Keith Bodungen & Stephanie Steelman A couples fiesta party honoring Keith Bodungen and Stephanie Steelman was held Saturday, March 1, from 7-10 p.m. at the home of Jimmie and Ceci Triska, 814 Donald. Hostesses were Jimmie and Ceci Triska, Patrick and Terry Martin, Anthony and Nancy Collins, Craig and Cindy Howell, Rusty and Amy Bergstrom and Ed and Cecilia Polasek. The home was decorated with serapes, sunflowers, piñatas and as a special treat for the couple, confetti eggs with their names written on them. A candolier decorated with fresh flowers and candles was placed at the entrance of the home. A matching candolier adorned the dining table, also covered with a serape. The registration table was decorated with a serape, Mexican candlesticks, crepe paper flowers and the couple's engagement picture. The honorees were welcomed with a fiesta flower crown for Stephanie and a chili pepper lei for Keith. The appetizer buffet included a hot station with Mexican meatballs, taquitos, tamales, a chip and dip station with queso, jalapeno cheese dip, seven-layer dip and artichoke dip. The dessert station offered fresh fruit, Mexican chocolate cake and sopapilla cheesecake. Approximately 50 guests enjoyed the appetizers and refreshments. Stephanie and Keith enjoyed visiting and opening gifts from their guests. Parents of the bride and groom-to-be, John and Brenda Steelman and Tom and Kathy Bodungen, attended along with Stephanie's sister, Sara Steelman of Austin. The hostesses presented the couple with a fiesta decorated Southern Living at Home gift basket with the Astoria cookbook holder, Astoria papertowel holder, Windsor napkin holder, Southern sippers serving bowl and matching small bowls, a cookbook and wedding memories album. The couple will be married at 4 p.m., April 12, 2008 at First Presbyterian Church in El Campo. |
