Grace Dittert

Cornelia Grace Chenault Dittert, 101, of El Campo died Monday, March 3, 2008 in El Campo.

She was born Jan. 30, 1907 in Castalian Springs, Tenn., to Millard Fillmore and Cornelia Bush Chenault.

Mrs. Dittert was a member of the Church of Christ and was a teacher for over 40 years. She was a member of the Woman's Club of El Campo, Delta Kappa Gama and Wharton County Retired Teachers Association.

Survivors include her daughter, Idanel Sellars of El Campo; and grandson, David Bullard of Casper, Wyo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 51 years, Alfred Dittert; three brothers; and three sisters.

The family will be at Wheeler Funeral Home to receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. today, Wednesday, March 5. Funeral service will be Thursday, March 6 at 2 p.m. at Wheeler Funeral Home chapel with John McCord officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
