Ricebirds, Lady 'Birds run through Ganado Track Meet

El Campo's track teams shined Saturday at the Ganado meet.

The Ricebirds and Lady 'Birds competed both had overall strong meets and finished among the top schools in both varsity and junior varsity categories.

The junior varsity girls were the only team to finish first in the event while each team finished in at least the top three of 11 teams.

Up next for the boys is a trip to Calhoun Saturday while the girls will travel to Bellville.

The two meets will serve as a precursor to March 14's Ricebird Relays when El Campo hosts many area teams.
