Louis Anzaldua

Louis D. Anzaldua, 78, of Weslaco, and formerly of Yoakum died Tuesday, March 4, 2008.

He was born Feb. 3, 1930 in Cheapside to Raymond and Frances Davilia Anzaldua. Mr. Anzaldua was a general laborer.

Survivors include his wife, Maria Anzaldua of Weslaco; daughters, Mary Ann Rodriguez, Victoria Perez and Lydia Rodriguez all of El Campo; sons, Rudy Anzaldua of Pasadena, Bobby Garcia of Giddings; brothers, Raymond Anzaldua and David Anzaldua; 17 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Frances Anzaldua and Lupe Bullard; and brother, Fred Anzaldua.

Prayer service was held Thursday, March 6 at 7 p.m. at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home. Graveside service was held Friday, March 7 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association. On-line guest book may be signed at www.thielecooper. com.
