City Arrests Alcohol, drugs

Samantha Nicole Martinez, 18, of 1111 Merchant was arrested at 1:21 a.m. Saturday, March 8 on charges of possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence. She was held on $10,000 bond as of 12:30 p.m. Monday, March 10.

Ralph McAfee Jr., 24, of 403 N. Wilke Road in Wharton was arrested at 8:49 p.m. Sunday, March 9 on two warrants for delivery of a controlled substance. He was held on $20,000 bond as of 12:30 p.m. the next day.

Gabriel Gaona, 19, of 209 W. Sixth was arrested at 9:52 p.m. Sunday, March 9 on charges of evading arrest or detention, minor in possession of an alcoholic beverage, possession of 2 ounces or less of marijuana and littering. After being stopped by police, he allegedly tried to flee and was pepper-sprayed by police. Gaona was transferred to Wharton County Jail the next day.

Crystal June Voldan, 25, of 2819 Myatt Lane was arrested at 1:28 a.m. Monday, March 10 on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was transferred to county jail the same day.

Property

Betty Carolyn Wagner, 49, of 400 Fifth in Louise was arrested at 3:05 p.m. Friday, March 7 on a Bexar County warrant for issuance of a bad check. She was released the same day on $800 bond.

Eric Blake Rodriguez, 24, of CR 474 in El Campo was arrested at 10:48 p.m. Friday, March 7 on a charge of driving while license suspended - enhanced, four Lavaca County warrants for theft by check and Wharton County warrants for theft by check and driving while license invalid or revoked after being stopped for speeding. He was released at 5:30 p.m. March 8 on $6,000 bond and $501 in fines.

Savannah Lynn Rodriguez, 24, of 710 McGrew was arrested at 3:08 p.m. Saturday, March 8 on warrants for expired registration and issuance of a bad check and two warrants for no insurance. She remained in custody at presstime.

Two El Campo boys, ages 12 and 14, were arrested at 3:45 p.m. Saturday, March 10 on charges of graffiti and criminal trespass after allegedly breaking into David's Food Basket, 1214 N. Mechanic, and spray-painting the walls. Both were released the same day to the custody of legal guardians.

Robert Lee Kahn, 24, of 901 E. Calhoun was arrested at 12:17 a.m. Sunday, March 9 on a charge of criminal trespass. He was released at 11:45 a.m. the same day on $2,500 bond.

Miguel Gonzales Jr., 18, of 513 Roth was arrested at 7:57 a.m. Sunday, March 9 on a charge of failure to identify - fugitive from justice, a warrant for minor driving under the influence of alcohol, two warrants each for no driver's license and no insurance and warrants for unsafe speed and failure to report an accident. He was transferred to county jail the next day.

Billy Louis Bullock Jr., 30, of 409 E. Watt was arrested Sunday, March 9 on two warrants each for failure to appear and no insurance and a warrant for no driver's license. He remained in custody at presstime.

County Jail Bookings Alcohol, drugs

Robert Torres, 21, of 929 N. Liberty was booked Friday, March 7 for driving while intoxicated. He was released at 10:15 a.m. the next day on $2,500 bond.

Jose Rocha, 34, of 605 Wharton was booked at 1:18 a.m. Saturday, March 8 for driving while intoxicated, no driver's license and tampering with a government document. He was held on $8,000 bond as of 12:30 p.m. Monday, March 10.

Michelle K. Ombogo, 22, no address listed, was booked Sunday, March 9 for possession of a controlled substance in a correctional facility, forgery and possession of a stolen vehicle. She was held on $20,000 bond as of 12:30 p.m. the next day.

Jail population as of 12:30 p.m. March 10 was 96 prisoners.
