Fiesta themed engagement party honors Steelman & Bodungen

Stephanie Steelman and Keith Bodungen were honored with a Mexican fiesta dinner engagement party at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, March 8 at Casa Hernandez Restaurant.

The party was hosted by Blair and Denise Couey, Joe and Isabel Hernandez, Blair Ross Couey Jr. and John Hernandez.

Guests included wedding attendants and their guests. Special guests included John and Brenda Steelman, parents of the bride-to-be and Tom and Kathy Bodungen, parents of the future groom.

Appetizers consisted of beef fajita quesadillas with Oaxaca cheese, cilantro and roasted tomatoes, four-cheese and jalapeno tamales, vegetable tamales, chicken flautas with goat cheese and poblano peppers, mushrooms stuffed with chorizo and queso fresco, cheese dip, guacamole, pico de gallo and chips.

Dinner consisted of beef and chicken fajitas, rice and beans followed by desserts of Italian cream and German chocolate cupcakes, Mexican wedding cookies, chocolate snowballs and an assortment of fresh fruit.

The hostesses presented the couple a fiesta margarita pitcher, four matching margarita glasses and a salt dish.

The couple will be married at 4 p.m., Saturday, April 12 at the First Presbyterian Church.
