Bressler-Hlavaty
James and Marsha Bressler of Hillsborough, N.C. announce the engagement of their daughter, Amy Bressler of McKinney, to Philip James Hlavaty of Allen, son of A.J. and Jo Ann Hlavaty of El Campo. The bride-to-be is a 1997 graduate of Plano Senior High School, a 2001 summa cum laude graduate of Texas Christian University in Fort Worth with a bachelor of arts degree in religion, and a 2003 summa cum laude graduate of Duke Divinity School in Durham, N.C. with a master's degree in theological studies. Amy is a teacher at McKinney Christian Academy in McKinney. The future groom graduated valedictorian from El Campo High School in 1997 and is a 2001 magna cum laude graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station with a degree in computer engineering. He is employed by Raytheon in Garland. The couple will be married at 5 p.m., May 24, 2008 at the United Methodist Church in Plano. A reception will be held in El Campo on June 21, 2008.
