Mr. and Mrs. Ellwood Hermansen of El Campo announce the engagement of their daughter, Susan Elaine Hermansen, to Christopher Blake Swanson of Houston. The prospective groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William E. Swanson of Houston. The brideelect is a graduate of El Campo High School. She received her undergraduate degree in business analysis from Texas A&M University at College Station and her doctor of jurisprudence degree from South Texas College of Law in Houston. She is employed with the law firm of Hays, McConn, Rice and Pickering P.C. The prospective groom is a graduate of The Kinkaid School in Houston. He received his undergraduate degree in economics from Colgate University in Hamilton, N.Y. and his masters degree in business from Rice University. He is a director in the finance department of Waste Management. The wedding is scheduled for April 12, 2008 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church.
