Come-and-go bridal party held for Bridget Blackstock

A come-and-go bridal shower honoring Bridget Blackstock was held from 10 a.m. until noon Saturday, March 8 at St. Andrew's Parish Hall in Hillje. She and her future groom, Steven Roy Womack, will be married May 10, 2008.

Twenty hostesses presented the honoree with a vacuum cleaner.

The hall was decorated in navy blue and silver with candles and fresh flowers to accent the area. The registry table held the future bride and groom's photograph and wedding book.

Refreshments of kolaches, piglets, pecan tarts, fruit, cheese and crackers were served on Home & Garden serving dishes. Also served was a cake decorated in navy blue and off-white confectionery icing with the couple's initials.

Special guests were Vickie Padgett of Needville, mother of the bride-to-be; Gloria Wells of Alvin and Pat Taylor of Needville, grandmothers of the bride-to-be; Misty Kuykendall of Needville, sister of the brideto be; Joyce Womack of Louise, future groom's mother; Mary Womack of Wharton, grandmother of the future groom; and Terri Sulak of Louise, future groom's sister.
