Nicholas Benavidez turns '1'

NICHOLAS BENAVIDEZ

Nicholas Roy Benavidez celebrated his first birthday with a party Saturday afternoon, March 8, at his home on Kirby St. His parents, Noel and Andrea Benavidez, hosted the party.

The theme was "Having Fun Being 1." Nicholas and guests enjoyed playing pin the taleon the-donkey, jumping in the moon walk and breaking a piñata.

Refreshments of hot dogs with all the trimmings were served with chips, taco soup and chicken enchilada soup. His birthday cake read: "Happy 1st Birthday Nicholas."

Special guests were Matthew and Jordan Benavidez, brothers; Lala Benavidez of El Campo, grandmother; Roger and Selia Benavidez of El Campo, great-uncle and aunt; his aunts, uncles and cousins: Anna Hernandez and children Jasmine and Christopher of Van Vleck; Rene and Yvette Garcia and children Morgan and Ryan of El Campo; and Stan and Denise Prochazka and children Ben, Andrew and Joey of El Campo; and friends, Martha Gonzalez and children Trini and Matthew.

Each child received a goodie pack full of candy, colors and toys.
