FAMILY REUNION

The descendants of the Tannich and Brovec families held their 42nd reunion on Sunday, March 2 at the New Bielau Community Center near Weimar. The reunion began at 11 with 40 in attendance.

After a covered dish lunch, the meeting was called to order by President Phyllis Ulbrich of Weimar. Secretary Bettye Anhaiser read the minutes from the last reunion and Treasurer Deborah Meredith gave the treasurer's report.

The group's scholarship winner this year is Tiffany Smith. She is studying architecture.

Elizabeth Boettcher, Leon Anhaiser, Julius Bartek, Chuck Ulbrich, Eric Meredith and Frances McDermott won cash door prizes. The winners of the two jars filled with candy were John Anhaiser and Mike Ulbrich.

Following the meeting Leroy Peterson served as auctioneer. After the auction, family members played bingo until the many prizes were all won.

Several family members who had not attended in years or had never attended at all were present.

Everyone enjoyed visiting and laughing with family and catching up on events of the past year.

The next reunion will be at the New Bielau Community Center on Sunday, March 1, 2009.
