Wedding Articles

1. Information regarding your wedding should be supplied on a form obtainable at the Leader-News office. This form should be COMPLETED and RETURNED NO LATER THAN (5) FIVE DAYS BEFORE THE WEDDING. You do not have to wait for the wedding photo to return your information; however, if you choose to use only a bridal portrait, it should be submitted with your wedding form. Please affix your signature and telephone number at the bottom of the form.

2. Your wedding picture, of the bride and groom or bride only, should be a black and white glossy print, preferably 5x7 inches, or a color print subject to our approval. We are not responsible for engagement or wedding photographs, but will try to have them available for return after they have appeared in the newspaper.

3. The wedding picture may be submitted as late as noon Tuesday following the wedding for publication on Wednesday or by noon Friday for publication on Saturday; however, your photographer should be aware of the deadline.

4. Weddings submitted up to 2 weeks after the wedding date will be shortened and printed when space is available or printed in full for a fee of $50.

For a no-cost, full wedding article submitted no later than (5) five days PRIOR to the wedding, the following criteria must be met:

• The bride or groom is employed in the immediate trade area or plan to live in El Campo or immediate area following the wedding.

• The bride or groom's parents are residents of El Campo or surrounding area (ex: Nada, Louise, Garwood).

• Parents of the bride or groom have not been away for more than five years.

** Wedding articles submitted late and for grandchildren must be paid for at a rate of $50.
