Stella Perez

Stella Perez, 78, of Bay City, died Saturday, March 8, 2008.

She was born Feb. 2, 1930 in El Campo to Pete and Lucy Gonzalez Valdez. She was a bookkeeper for Stanley Stores, retiring after 32 years, and was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Bay City.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph Perez of Bay City; daughter, Renee White and husband Sam of Georgetown; son, Ralph David Perez and wife Pat of Houston; grandchildren, Christina Perez Cater and husband Bobby of Katy, Taylor David Perez of Houston and Samantha and Meredith White of Georgetown; greatgranddaughter, Savannah Cater of Katy; brother, Pete Valdez Jr. of Houston; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A rosary was recited Tuesday, March 11 at 7 p.m. at Triska Funeral Home. The funeral Mass will be today, Wednesday, March 12, at 10 a.m. at St. Robert's Catholic Church in El Campo. Burial will follow at the Holy Cross Memorial Park in El Campo under the direction of Triska Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Taylor Perez, Edward Perez, Manuel Perez III, Sammy Rivera, Danny Valdez and Michael Valdez III.
