Rain holds El Campo tournament to nine

      The Ricebirds claimed their home course in El Campo's boys golf tournament, though they are not too happy about it. Rain and thunder canceled the event after nine holes. The 'Birds' leading 170 score was enough to finish first, but not enough to meet expectations.

El Campo plays two in Ricebird tourney
      Rain changed up the Ricebirds' plans for El Campo's Varsity Baseball Tournament last week. The event, held Thursday through Saturday, was hit hard by weather and some games had to be canceled. The Ricebirds lost to Sealy in their first tournament game, but followed that with a win over Columbus.
