El Campo's boys and girls track teams took a split Saturday.
The Ricebirds were at Port Lavaca and the Lady 'Birds traveled to Bellville, but both teams had solid meets.
The Lady 'Birds even finished second in their meet, even without field events. Added competition in discus, long jump and other events could potentially have helped El Campo to a first-place finish.
Both teams will be home Friday as El Campo prepares to host the Ricebird Relays. The following is a list of El Campo's results.
