City Arrests Alcohol, drugs

A 14-year-old El Campo boy was arrested at 10:44 p.m. Tuesday, March 11 on a charge of possession of marijuana. He was released the same day to the custody of a relative.

A 16-year-old El Campo boy was arrested at 8:55 a.m. Wednesday, March 12 on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released the same day to the custody of a relative.

Kendrick Demetrice Riggins, 30, of 2412 Point West was arrested at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 12 on a warrant for delivery of a controlled substance in a drug-free zone. He surrendered at Wharton County Jail and was held on $15,000 bond as of 3 p.m. the next day.

Property

Jessie Rodriguez III, 17, of 605 Ave. E was arrested at 8:42 a.m. Wednesday, March 12 on a warrant for burglary of a building. He was held on $10,000 bond as of 3 p.m. the next day.

A 15-year-old El Campo boy was arrested at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, March 13 on a warrant for burglary of a building. He was released the same day to the custody of a relative.

Belinda Rodriguez Falcon, 31, of 13053 Hwy. 71 North was arrested at 11:20 p.m. Thursday, March 13 on five warrants for issuance of a bad check and a warrant for speeding. She remained in custody at presstime.

Victor Rodriguez Sepeda Jr., 30, of 109 E. West surrendered himself at the county jail and was arrested at 10:49 p.m. Tuesday, March 11 on a warrant for cruelty to animals. Sepeda was one of two people featured as El Campo's "Most Wanted" in the Feb. 20 issue of the Leader-News for alleged cruel treatment of two dogs and a puppy. Sepeda was released at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, March 11 on $2,500 bond.

Oswaldo Monroy Rosas, 32, of 515 Ave. E was arrested at 10:09 p.m. Wednesday, March 12 on charges of resisting arrest, search or transport and public intoxication, after allegedly standing in the North Mechanic roadway causing drivers to swerve, then trying to run from police. He was released at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 13 on $3,000 bond.

City Incidents Property

Jack in the Box, 1721 S. Mechanic, reported theft of $671.34 between 1:25 p.m. Sunday March 9 and 10 a.m. the next day.

County Incidents Property

Danevang Farmers Co-op, 11338 Hwy. 71 South, reported theft of two fertilizer hoses with nozzles, worth $360, between 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 5 and 7 a.m. Thursday, March 6.

Edmond Juroske reported criminal mischief to a wooden corner post, tin gate and a fence at 4496 CR 384 between 7:15 and 7:45 a.m. Thursday, March 6. Damages totaled $350.

Jesusita Perez reported theft of $494 from a business at 4860 Hwy. 71 South in El Campo between 10 and 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 6.

Violence, weapons

Johnnie Fisher reported aggravated robbery at 909 Ellwood between 11 p.m. Saturday, March 8 and 2 a.m. Sunday, March 9. The robber took a Smith & Wesson .22 and a Sears & Roebuck 410.

County Jail Bookings Property

Karina Ramirez, 30, of 1002 S. Liberty was booked at 3:09 p.m. Tuesday, March 4 for theft of property and three convictions for theft of property. She was held without bond as of 12:30 p.m. Thursday, March 6.

Joseu Terrazas, 24, of 201 S. Washington was booked at 6:06 p.m. Wednesday, March 5 on warrants for theft by check. He was held on $1,200 bond.

Tommie Kay Wilson, 41, of 19 Serena Dr. was booked at 11:35 a.m. Monday, March 10 for theft by check. She was released at 1:15 p.m. the same day on $3,000 bond.

Harold Dale Coplen, 38, of 405-A Bluebonnet was booked at 1:40 p.m. Wednesday, March 12 on a warrant for theft by check and probation violation. He was held on $750 bond as of 3 p.m. the next day.

Bruce Ceasar, 48, of 1221 Alice Ave. was booked at 7:35 p.m. Friday, March 7 for assault. He was released at 2:30 p.m. the next day on $500 bond.

Mike Ramirez Jr., 21, of 1410 Jennie was booked at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 4 for probation violation. He was held without bond as of Thursday, March 6.

Cheryl Ann Mobley, 26, of 46 Serena Dr. was booked Wednesday, March 5 on two counts of failure to appear, issuing a bad check and warrants for speeding, failure to maintain financial responsibility and permitting an unlicensed driver to drive. She was held on $3,000 bond.

David Wayne Ruiz, 32, of 704 College was booked at 4:15 p.m. Friday, March 7 for bond forfeiture. He was held without bond as of 12:30 p.m. Monday, March 10.

Eric Eloy Melchor, 24, of 608 Bruns was booked at 3:59 p.m. Monday, March 10 for probation violation. He was held as of 3 p.m. Thursday, March 13.

Preston Jenkins, 24, of 310 Grace in Garwood was booked Tuesday, March 11 on a warrant for aggravated robbery. He was held on $50,000 bond as of 3 p.m. Thursday, March 13.

John Wayne Lee, 49, of 1415 E. Jackson No. 37 was booked at 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 11 for bond forfeiture. He was held on $10,000 bond as of 3 p.m. Thursday, March 13.

Diego Ernesto Delgado, 18, of 605 Bruns was booked at 10:20 a.m. Wednesday, March 12 for probation violation. He was held without bond as of 3 p.m. Thursday, March 13.

Jaime Guerrero, 25, of HC 62 Box 1 of Danevang was booked at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, March 12 for three counts of probation violation. He was held without bond as of 3 p.m. Thursday, March 13.
