Janie Labay

Janie Kubecka Labay of Nada died March 13, 2008 at the age of 75. She was born March 4, 1933 in El Campo to the Emil and Mary Scotka Kubecka. She was a homemaker and a member of the KJZT Society and the Catholic Daughters of America.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond Labay; daughter, Gayle Mica and husband Felix; sons, Jerry Labay and Anthony Labay and wife Tisha, all of Nada; grandchildren, Jason Mica of Richmond, Amy Mica, Jerry Labay Jr., Brian Labay, Wade Labay, Max Labay, Thomas Labay and Ashley Labay, all of Nada; sisters, Rose Schipula of El Campo and Mary Ann Jones of Bedei; and brothers, Joe Kubecka of Navasota and Ludvick Kubecka of Houston.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter-inlaw Esotta Labay and brother Frank Kubecka.

Visitation will begin 1 p.m. Sunday at Triska Funeral Home with a parish rosary being recited at 6 p.m. The funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 17 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Tony BoatengMensah officiating.

Interment will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Triska Funeral Home. Her nephews will serve as pallbearers.
