Couples Mexican fiesta party honors Steelman & Bodgunen

Stephanie Steelman and Keith Bodungen were honored with a Mexican fiesta couples shower at 3 p.m., Sunday, March 16 at the home of Gary and Molli Bodungen in El Campo.

Special guests were John and Brenda Steelman, parents of the bride-to-be; Tom and Kathy Bodungen, parents of the prospective groom; Sara Steelman, sister of the bride-to-be; and Clint and Ashley Bodungen, brother and sister-in-law of the future groom.

Appetizers included dips and chips, fresh fruit kabobs, an assortment of fresh vegetables, olives, pickles and nuts. Beef and chicken fajitas, tamales, pinto beans, pico de gallo, guacamole and tortillas were served for dinner. Sopapilla cheesecake, chocolate pudding layered dessert and strawberry and cream cheese rolls were served for dessert.

Guests were entertained by Emily Dale, who played the guitar and sang a variety of songs throughout the afternoon and evening.

The 17 hosts and hostesses presented the couple a card with spending money for their honeymoon trip.

The couple will be married at 4 p.m., April 12 at First Presbyterian Church in El Campo.
