Important dates announced at Hillje-Louise 4-H meeting Members of the Hillje-Louise 4-H Club met Monday, March 10 at Wharton County Electric Co-op. Kori Stancliff, first vice president, called the meeting to order. Brianna Dorotik recited the Pledge of Allegiance and Megan Socha led the 4-H Pledge. Socha also gave the treasurer's report. Members reported on their fair projects and activities associated with the fair. Discussion was held regarding the parent work rule. A parent of each livestock exhibitor is required to work three hours during the week of the fair or the weekend of the barbecue cook-off or pay a fee to the fair. Parents were encouraged to contact the fair office and sign-up for duties by April 1. Members of the club will also be participating in fair work day on Saturday, April 5. Important dates coming up are the fashion show on Friday, March 14 at Crescent with registration at 5:30 p.m. There were seven members and seven adults and volunteer leaders in attendance. The next meeting will be on Monday, April 14 at 6 p.m. at WCEC. |
