Josephine Zambrano

Josephine Garcia Zambrano, 85, of El Campo, died March 7, 2008.

She was born Sept. 19, 1922 in Yorktown to Sylvester and Juanita Martinez Garcia. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her sons, Martin Zambrano and wife Paulette of Winnie and George Zambrano and wife Nancy of Sealy; brother, Sylvester Garcia Jr. of El Campo; grandchildren, Georgia Garcia of Austin, George Zambrano Jr. of Austin, Edmund Paul Zambrano serving in the U.S. Army, Melissa McCrummen of Sealy, Christina Guerrero of Sealy, Albert Felter of Bellville, Martin Zambrano Jr. of Kenwood, Wash., Gary Bob Zambrano of San Francisco, Calif., Johnnie Ray Zambrano of New York, NY., Pernell Zambrano of El Campo and Zachary Zenas Zambrano of Victoria; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gregorio Zambrano; sisters, Carmen Garcia, Susie Garcia, Julie Garcia and Benita Ramos; and brothers, Domingo and Lupe Garcia.

A parish wake service was held Sunday, March 9 at 6 p.m. at Triska Funeral Home. The funeral Mass was held Monday, March 10 at 10 a.m. at St. Robert's Catholic Church. Burial followed at Glen Flora Cemetery under the direction of Triska Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Guadalupe Garcia Jr., Joe Garcia, Richard Hogan, Brandon Hogan, Sean Hogan and Jonathan Vega.
