Police Blotter City Arrests Property Roger Ray Vernon, 52, of 1012 W. Second was arrested at 9:35 a.m. Tuesday, March 18 on a warrant for theft between $500 and $1,500. He was transferred to Wharton County Jail the next day. Rodrigo Garza Bazan, 38, of 57 Wanda Lane was arrested at 11:40 a.m. Tuesday, March 18 on a warrant for theft of service between $20 and $200. He was released the same day after paying a $258.75 fine. Violence, weapons Elouisa Evalynn Arrambide, 28, of 622 Ave. A was arrested at 6:20 a.m. Thursday, March 20 on a warrant for assault causes bodily injury. She was transferred to county jail the same day. Other Robert Ortiz, 31, of 602 S. Washington was arrested at 1:14 a.m. Tuesday, March 18 on warrants for possession of drug paraphernalia, no driver's license and disorderly conduct - fighting, charges of public intoxication and walking in a roadway, three warrants for minor in possession of an alcoholic beverage and two warrants for public intoxication. He remained in custody at presstime. City Incidents Property Debra Ferguson reported debit card abuse between March 6 and March 7. Amy Garcia reported a burglary at 912 South between 3:38 and 11:10 p.m. Saturday, March 15. Burglars broke in and stole electronics worth $2,500 and unspecified cash. Han-D-Pak Drive-In, 1110 Palacios, reported a burglary between 12:55 and 1:45 a.m. Tuesday, March 18. Burglars broke in the front door and took beer and cigarettes worth $77.90 and did $500 damage to the door. County Incidents Property Hershel Walker, 49, of 220 Palmer was booked Monday, March 17 for burglary of a habitation, assault-family violence and capias pro fines. He was held on $10,000 bond as of 12:30 p.m. the same day. Violence, weapons Preston Jenkins, 24, of 310 Grace in Garwood, was booked Tuesday, March 11 on a warrant for aggravated robbery. He was held on $50,000 bond as of 3 p.m. March 13. Neil Rodriguez, 28, of 719 Merchant was booked Saturday, March 15 for assault-family violence.
