City Arrests Alcohol, drugs

A 15-year-old Louise girl was arrested at 11:51 p.m. Saturday, March 22 on a charge of possession of 2 ounces or less of marijuana. She was a passenger in a car stopped for a traffic violation. She was released the next day to the custody of a relative.

Diana Briano-Davila, 20, of 203 Orange in Louise was arrested at 7:28 p.m. Monday, March 24 on charges of possession of 2 ounces or less of marijuana, no insurance, turning right from the wrong lane and no driver's license. She was trasnferred to county jail the next day.

Property

Lafate Steele Jr., 55, of 1415 W. Norris was arrested at 11:17 a.m. Monday, March 24 on a warrant for theft. He was released the same day on $266.75 bond.

Violence, weapons

Frederico Torres Piedra, 24, of 201 Ronald Circle was arrested at 10 p.m. Thursday, March 20 on a charge of assault bodily injury - family violence. He allegedly fought with a woman, reportedly hitting and strangling her as she tried to flee. He has a previous conviction for assault - family violence in August 2007. He was transferred to Wharton County Jail the next day.

Larry Darnell Lee, 27, of 604 Hackberry in Louise was arrested at 6:49 p.m. Saturday, March 22 on charges of resisting arrest, search or transport and walking in the roadway. After being arrested for standing in the middle of South Mechanic Street, he allegedly fought three police officers who were trying to search him at the municipal lockup. He was released the next day on $3,000 bond.

County Incidents Property

Mike Marshall reported a burglary at 165 Haddock between 11:30 p.m. Monday, March 17 and 12:34 a.m. the next day.

Lester Lutringer reported criminal mischief at a residence at 2147 CR 330 on Wednesday, March 19. Vandals shot an electric meter, security light and water well pump with a shotgun.

An 18-year-old El Campo woman reported assault causing bodily injury on Monday, March 17.

Jail population as of 11 a.m. March 24 was 108 prisoners.
