Jose Garcia
Jose S. Garcia, 70, of El Campo, died Saturday, March 22, 2008.

He was born on Oct. 28, 1937 in Wharton County to Santos and Ignacia Canales Garcia. He was a retired oil field mechanic.

Survivors include his wife, Manuela Sixtos Garcia of El Campo; daughters, Sylvia Lara of Wharton and Nora Santos of Sweeny; sons, Raul Garcia of Cresent and Ernest Garcia of Seattle, Wash.; sister, Alva Gonzales of Glen Flora; 10 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Jose L. Garcia.

A parish rosary was recited Monday, March 24 at 7 p.m. at St. Robert's Catholic Church. Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 25 at 2 p.m. at St. Robert's Catholic Church. Burial followed at Holy Cross Memorial Park.

Arrangements were under the direction of Triska Funeral Home.
