City Arrests Property

Mayra Soad Calderon, 35, of Victoria was arrested at 4:12 p.m. Wednesday, March 26 in Victoria County by a state trooper on two El Campo warrants for forgery of a financial instrument. She remained in custody at presstime.

Silvestre C. Arrrambide, 63, of 705 Betty was arrested at 9:57 p.m. Wednesday, March 26 on a charge of assault - family violence, after allegedly pushing a woman to the floor during an argument. He was released the next day on $416.75 bond.

Charles Anthony Thomas Jr., 20, of Rt. 2, Box 142 B in El Campo was arrested at 2:57 a.m. Thursday, March 27 on charges of failure to identify - fugitive from justice, no driver's license and no insurance, and Wharton County warrants for criminal trespass and evading arrest or detention. After being stopped for a defective brake light, Thomas allegedly gave police the name and birth date of another man, but that person is a fugitive, so Thomas was arrested. He was transferred to Wharton County Jail and released at 3:35 p.m. March 27 on $2,000 bond.

City Incidents Property

Mario Garcia reported theft of copper wire and tubing worth $800 from a home at 620 Dorris on March 26.

Richard Miller reported burglary of a home at 207 1/2 W. Norris between March 19 and March 25. The burglars took a Honda exhaust system worth $1,000.

Other

A 15-year-old El Campo boy reported being bitten by a stray female dog on Palacios Street on Wednesday, March 26. The boy sustained a bite to his right wrist and lacerations, and was treated at El Campo Memorial Hospital.

County Jail Bookings Property

Laurie Ann Mendez, 27, of 507 E. Norris was booked at 10:50 a.m. Tuesday, March 25 on a warrant for theft by check. She was released at 11:10 a.m. the same day on $1,000 bond.

Joe Anthony Reyna, 37, of 1216 East was booked at 10:06 a.m. Wednesday, March 26 on warrants for theft by check and theft of service. He was released at 1 p.m. the same day on $4,500 bond.

Abelino J. Medina, 21, of 1202 Sam was booked Wednesday, March 26 for assault-family violence (conviction). He was held as of 3 p.m. the next day.

Other

Angel Rene Bundali, 24, of 503 Lincoln was booked Wednesday, March 26 for motion to revoke probation. He was held on $35,000 bond as of 3 p.m. Thursday, March 27.

Jail population as of 3 p.m. Thursday, March 27 was 106 prisoners.
