James Larson

James Leroy Larson, 85, of Ganado and formerly of El Campo, died Wednesday, March 26, 2008 in Ganado.

He was born Feb. 15, 1923 in El Campo to Roy Hamilton and Della Wiggington Larson.

Mr. Larson was an oilfield gauger and a member of First United Methodist Church of Ganado. He served in the Army Air Corp and was a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita Lyons Larson of Ganado; son, Lawrence Larson and wife Patricia of Mathis; daughter, Linda Kuhlman and husband Roy of Ganado; grandsons, Curtis Kuhlman and Kyle Kuhlman of Ganado and Travis Larson of Mathis; great-granddaughters, Emily Kuhlman and Ashley Kuhlman of Ganado.

Viewing will begin today, Saturday, March 29 at 9 a.m. with the funeral service to begin at 11 a.m. at Wheeler Funeral Home Chapel in El Campo with the Rev. Patti Herndon officiating. There will be a private burial at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the Heart Association or to the donor's choice.
