Peña given tea party for 4th birthday

Malerie Peña celebrated her fourth birthday with a tea party Sunday, March 30 at her home. Her actual birthday was Easter Sunday, March 23.

Hosting the party were her parents, Alfredo and Valerie Peña, her sister Priscilla Peña and her cousin Zerlina Perez.

The girls dressed as Disney fairies and princesses and dined with refreshments being served by the host and hostesses.

Party decorations carrying out the theme were Disney fairies and purple tablecloths, wine glasses, streamers and balloons, which were suspended from the ceiling and a purple chandelier hung over the table.

The girls enjoyed the day by playing pin-the-tail on the donkey, dancing to ring around the roses, London Bridge, limbo, the chicken dance and other games.

Guests received tiaras, wands, necklaces and bags filled with goodies.

Refreshments consisted of tuna salad and chicken salad sandwiches, fruit cocktail punch, chips, miniature cupcakes, Disney Tinkerbell fairies decorated cake and ice cream.

Special guests were her friends from school, cousins from out-of-town and her greatgrandma Antonia Acuña.

Malerie received soaps and suds Dora the Explorer from her Grandma Mary and a Gabriel Dora's mermaid game from PS2 from her Grandma and Grandpa, along with a variety of toys, games, dress-up clothes and cash.
