El Campo boys, girls face district tourney
Quinn advances to regionals with strong first-day outing

      El Campo will send one Ricebird to the regional golf tournament at Huntsville. Chris Quinn finished with the second highest individual score and advanced to the next round in Tuesday and Wednesday's district golf tournament at River Pointe Golf Club at Richmond.

Louise girls win district track meet
      The Lady Hornets are district track champions. Louise took on the rest of District 28- A Thursday at Thrall and claimed the title in a close race. The Lady Hornets pulled ahead by 2 points over secondplace Thorndale and returned home celebrating an excellent performance.

JV, Freshman teams run at district
      El Campo's junior varsity and freshman track teams ran Wednesday in their district meets and gave a nice outing. Both teams finished fourth and had their share of firstplace wins. The varsity track team competed Thursday and Friday against District 24-4A.
