Louise girls win district track meet

The Lady Hornets are district track champions.

Louise took on the rest of District 28- A Thursday at Thrall and claimed the title in a close race. The Lady Hornets pulled ahead by 2 points over secondplace Thorndale and returned home celebrating an excellent performance.

Eight girls will advance to Wednesday's area competition, also at Thrall. From then, the top four finishers in each category will earn a trip to the regional track meet April 24-26 at a site to be determined.

Competing in 11 total categories, the Lady Hornets took five first-place victories including both of their relays.

The following are the results from Thursday's district meet. The top four places in each category will advance to area.
