Police Blotter City Arrests Alcohol, drugs Oswaldo Monroy Rosas, 32, of 515 Ave. E was arrested at 9:06 p.m. Thursday, April 3 on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, enhanced driving while license suspended, no insurance and failure to signal within 100 feet. He was transferred to Wharton County Jail the next day and released at 3:50 p.m. Friday, April 4 on $3,000 bond. Dustin Michael Gannon, 22, of 207 1/2 W. Norris was arrested at 11:20 p.m. Thursday, April 3 on charges of possession of marijuana and public intoxication, after someone flagged down and officer and reported a suspicious person in the alley behind West Norris Street. Gannon asked police to take him home so he could get his keys and lock up his home, but while there, police allegedly saw marijuana sitting out on a desk in the living room. Gannon was held on $4,500 bond as of 12:30 p.m. Monday, April 7. Two Corpus Christi men were arrested at 10:25 a.m. Friday, April 4 on charges of possession of marijuana after El Campo Police's K-9 unit stopped their vehicle for an obscured license plate and the dog alerted to the vehicle. Julian Joannis Wohlrab, 19, and Ian Michael Hutchison, 30, were both transferred to county jail and released on $2,500 bond each at 11:20 a.m. Saturday, April 5. Gregory Merritt Fernald, 62, of 1707 N. Wharton was arrested at 2:45 a.m. Saturday, April 5 on a charge of driving while intoxicated after an officer saw him allegedly weaving, driving on the wrong side of the road and run a stop sign. He was released at 10 a.m. the same day on $2,000 bond. Other Merle Emil Lauritsen Jr., 40, of 1032 CR 310 was arrested at 10:56 a.m. Thursday, April 3 on warrants for issuance of a bad check and no insurance after being taken into custody by a Wharton County Sheriff's deputy. Lauritsen was released the same day after paying $644.80 in fines. Joel Shelton, 47, of 139 Spruce Ave. in Louise was arrested at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, April 3 on a warrant for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon while in custody on unrelated charges. He was held on $10,000 bond as of 12:30 p.m. Monday, April 7. Teriwanda Lashal Thornton, 33, of 316 Palacios was arrested at 7:16 p.m. Saturday, April 5 on two warrants for issuance of a bad check, warrants for no insurance and failure to appear, a Wharton County warrant for theft of under $20 by check and eight Wharton County warrants for issuance of a bad check, after being stopped for speeding. She was held on $5,000 bond as of 12:30 p.m. Monday, April 7. Richard Shondre Thompson, 25, of Houston was arrested at 9:33 p.m. Saturday, April 5 on warrants for failure to appear and no insurance after being taken into custody by a Wharton County Sheriff's deputy.
